Do you think these guys plan a jacking like this.
Or do you think they were just strolling by one late night and say "hey, thats a sharp looking bike. I think we should steal it"

Sorry to hear about your bike.
If you'll e-mail us a pic of our bike and the VIN we'll put it up at the shop.
Bike theft is rampant right now. Makes me glad I've got Lojack on mine!

MAN, that sucks. i got a question for y'all. i got a 1990 Yamaha FZR 1000. most of the bikes i hear about getting stolen are much newer/shinier than mine, but i still want to be safe. im about to get insurance once i get paid, should i bother getting theft? or should i just spend some cash on antitheft devices, like locks, lojack or whatever? any suggestions? in a smaller city i probably wouldnt care, but it seems bike theft is rampant in houston.

hey i got an idea...how about a sticky with everything people need to know about preventing bike theft, the obvious tips plus info on theft insurance, and what devices are out there like chains, locks, killswitches, etc...

you need to park tht bike till you get ins. sportbikes get targeted enough, and you don't need that kinda exposure, esp. w/ kids........besides the inital fine, NOW you pay like $200??/yr every year for the next few yrs , if you get popped w/o ins.

as for theft, how much is it a yr? vs whats the bike worth........
