Gatorade and water mixed... 50/50. It was recommended by a Navy SEALs PT instructor when I was working out at Memorial Park.

I'm trying something new right now. I'm drinking a protien shake before and after working out. Water durring the workout.

I was drinking the shake after the workout, but a personal trainer there told me it's a good idea to have one before also. So far, it's working okay. It's only been a week.

I have gatoraid for meals, and when i'm thirsty at the apt. I make it witht he powder cause it's cheap. I'm so poor.

i do the same.

joey, try taking a protein shake 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after you work out. i drink water when working out and the 50/50 gatorade mix when doing cardio like playing b-ball.

i think i got javier hooked on the 30 minute protein routine after yesterday's track day. helps you recover the muscles and feel ready to keep going.

I drink water. a gallon a day in fact. throught the day i've started drinking alot of sprite zero too. it has nothing but 30 mg of sodium so the gallon of water i drink a day moves that sodium quicker. i wrok out 5 times a week by the way.

It was on the news that sports drinks are not good for your gums.. something about acids... sport drinks are not bad for you. i guess the news was focusing on athletes who drinks them all the time especially the young kids.

Water for me - work out at 24 on 529.

Theres soooo many reports about everything now and it all just seems bizzare. I bet theres a report showing that eating 2 quarter pounders a day helps shed off pounds. I hate seeing those things on TV..."Tonight at 9, will jogging actually make you gain weight?"
