If I ever give up sport bikes, I'll be buying an atom.

With a blown K20 though.

Chris, I know ariel holds their own track days where you can drive their cars. Are they going to be doing this at grand sport, or is it just a testing type deal?

Please let me know when you find out a date.

I can point you in the direction of a Lotus Elise for a very very good asking price (26500Gs) with ultra low miles on it.

I believe its called the Ariel Atom Experience. Betting it costs a hefty penny to play though.

Yeah, it's kinda pricey, but look at it this way,
It's less than 1 months payment if you were to buy it.
Only you get a track day with instruction with it also and your putting wear and tear on their equipment.

A friend of mine has one of these, biggest mistake he ever made (his words). Horrible reliability, horrible service. It has about a 50/50 home to dealer ratio so far as far as time spent goes. Typical like three week shipping for a computer chip blah blah blah. Funny thing though, he was complaining to service about the way things were going and when he turned around a guy said to him "don't feel bad, I bought an aston martin and I deal with the same crappy service."

Wow, never heard that from the new elise or exige. Quite a few of them in town that track with Drivers Edge and Porsche club. They've run well.

That's strange, I would figure that the Toyota engine would be bullet proof, and the suspension would be fantastic. I've only ridden in one at a HouSCCA autocross, but it sure was a fun car.

The car I was considering having built was over $85K in US dollars. Base price of the car is $65K and that's the smaller 245 hp motor. That doesn't include the fully adjustable suspension, racing brakes, full roll bar, or the other items necessary for race prep.

It appears that Brammo may not be as involved with Ariel as they were previously. When I went through the process, I was talking to Brammo and using a link on the Brammo website for the buildout. I see that Brammo doesn't advertise the car any longer, nor can you do the mock build up for pricing.

Here is the URL that shows the base pricing or $65K, but not the prices for the options...

Don't feel bad, there "facts" all over the board from other "experts". At least, you'd think, they would type g-o-o-g-l-e to verify their opinions. Instead we get a stream of e-diarrhea.
