What's up with people running into the back of Kawasakis lately?!?!?

Glad everyone was pretty much unhurt though.

I heard of wet sanding but if you wanted to paint your bike we could have found a better way ,

Any pics of the damage, give them up, it's the right thing to do.

and just so everyone knows and understands i've been riding street bikes for 16 years and have been down before, and I keep thinking if only I could have done something differently......but I don't know what.......Bryan and I have talked about it and we think we have a pretty good idea of how the whole accident happened, from a physics standpoint, but I don't know how it could have been avoided.....unless I knew there was water there before hand.....so anyone with deep water experience please post up, i've never hit anything that deep before....is there a technique that would have made it easier to handle? I kept my feet up so they wouldn't get caught in the swell (until my balance was completely gone, then i put a foot out and I think that's what tossed me off the bike)

I didn't see all the damage to his bike, just the front and you said the forks,
A new front, some used forks some paint, lets see who gets them going 1st.

Thats why it was an accident, it was out of your hands, I couldn't see _ _ i t yesterday when it was raining, just along for the ride, Dave

Sorry I keep missing these rides! Between job, family, and Navy it seems all my time gets eaten up quick. I do look forward to get out on a forest ride soon with all of you.

I also do want to say I'm glad y'all are okay and I really appreciate you sharing your stories with us. Its the stories about going down that help me choose to gear up WHENEVER I go out to ride! No matter how short or long the ride will be.

Thanks,

Dave

It was good riding with you all up to Anderson; sorry to hear about the accident on the way back.

I caught a good bit of light rain on 149 but made it home well before the skies opened up. I also saw the rider of the cruiser that went off the road being loaded into an ambulance on the way back. I'm sure it was more of a precautionary measure though, since he was up and about the first time we saw him.

Looking forward to making the entire trip the next time!
