YES!!!

OK, starting from 290/1960 Shell (has a bigger parking lot), headed west and up to Yankees for lunch, about 86 miles

Back thru the Forest and down to Tomball 2920/249 about 70 miles.

This is a backwards forest ride...

Plenty of good roads if you've never been.

Plan on rolling out at 9 am, so be a bit early so we can get everyone on the same page. Riders meeting at 8:45, please top off your tanks when you get there.

Speed limit ride, ained at introducing newbies to these roads.

If that's how you ride, it's cool with me...but the this posting says "Gear strongly recommended; no helmet, jacket, gloves, no ride with us." I guess since this is really meant for first time riders...

If the speed limit is too fast for some, dont feel stressed. There will be dedicated forest gnomes there to help peeps at their comfortable speed. I believe I counted four gnomes on the list, plus TexLurch. Those numbers will go up and there are others that have ridden these roads before.

If you enjoy the ride, remember the gnomes usually have something going on every weekend. The faster groups are doing a more private ride type of deal, but the open groups will always have one group riding at about the pace seen during this ride, so no one feels pressured.

its all about having fun and providing an opportunity for everyone to gain some experience through safe riding.

if you dont wear a jacket? this ride even at posted speeds is more technical than you think. its tons of fun (much like me) lol. but still technical. strongly recomend jacket with armor. even dudes that have riddin these roads before crash. you should wear a jacket anyways always but i would say ask the organizer if hes comfortable with you not wearing gear. out of respect. i mean there will always be more rides in the forest but maybe you should go spend 200 bucks on a cheap textile jacket then come. then again i'm just along for the ride.

3090 is an ego killer. Ride the road for yourself, not to show off to anyone else, cuz in the end its not about their ride, its about your own. I rarely ride the road at the speeds I like to go cuz the company I keep on those roads usually doesn't ride at those speeds.

Sometimes I get out and stretch my legs when I see the opportunity for a good laugh(like two up pissin' off a track racer draggin her knee and seein a busa on her tail through the corners.)

But there have been several accidents, fatalities, and run-offs on this road. It is a serious road. On faster runs we even talk about the condition of the road and how slick the paint is that day before we ride out. Its not a road you can memorize, cuz there will always be something different with it.

I always recommend observing caution with this road and always gear up when I ride it. Casual attire for me on the forest ride is reinforced jacket, back protector, snell helmet, riding boots. Moderate and up its full suit, back protector, boots, forearm gloves, snell(same as track)

For this ride I won't bust you if you show up without a jacket.

It's your skin, and we WILL take pics and laugh at you if you are unfortunate enough to get some rash.

At the planned pace there is no reason to expect any offroading unless someone pulls an extreme bone head move. We'll look at splitting up the group if enough people are uncomfortable with the pace.

Again, the posted speed is what the leader will ride at. I usually don't slow down for corners but for this ride I will at the tighter ones.
