Nope. We ain't gonna have no wrecks. Unless someone parks on a hill and it falls over.

Just a relaxed cruise at an easy pace on some good country roads.

Everyone just needs to follow the basic rules and relax.

Keep a couple secs between bikes. Ride the speed limit and YOUR pace. Take it easy in the corners. Remember, you are responsible to keep a good gap on the rider in front of you.

Agreed. No reason for wrecks. Likely divided groups into smaller ones, all running the same pace. The last 'by popular request Noob ride' TexLurch did we had ALOT of peeps too, but spaced experienced riders throughout the group to keep the ride going uniform and not to leave anyone behind.

No worries on my end, I have full confidence.

it's only half as many as the galveston ride and you went on that!

besides if there was 80 bikes to galveston and one wreck, this forest ride has 40 bikes so it should only have 1/2 of a wreck.

1/2 of a wreck = run off into the grass without going down or someone forgetting to put down their kickstand and the bike falls down. (it is a n00b ride after all)

There will be stops. If you feel you need to leave there are always several ways to return/go back/ or go ahead to Yankees. I may consider a faster group after we finish around 105/149 if others are up to it. We'd hit other roads missed during the initial ride.

yes sir... if all the people show up we'll more than likely split up some. I plan to put the less experienced folks towards the back so they won't be worried about getting run over.

Most of these roads are easy at the posted speeds, if you have some basiic experience. If you are really uncomfortable on corners, let me know so we can make sure you are at a comfy pace and spot in the group.

The usual rides have faster and slower groups, and someone seems to always think they are faster than they are.

This ride is all about taking it easy, seeing some new roads and meeting some good people. You can ride with my wife and be guaranteed she won't get you in a bind. Or you can get right behind me and I won't lead you into a bad spot.

We have some experienced riders signed up that I know won't do anything stupid, and they will be our eyes and ears watching for anyone with issues.

I'm sure if some one is being stupid they tell tehem to leave

^^^fair enough(miss M)

You do have a good head on your shoulders. Remember you do ride your own ride and this ride will likely be slower then most would prefer but that is because it is designed to improve basic skills.

On any other regular forest ride I encourage people to wave on others that are pressing them from behind and we also slow down in the straights for others to catch up. I understand your side entirely and would never feel well pressuring anyone to ride a ride they are uncomfortable with.

On a forest gnome ride, most of the accidents(all but three total, and those were from people riding off then back on) were from people riding past the third group to try to become part of the second group when their skills aren't quite there yet. Im proud to say the third group has only had 2-3 people ride off then back on(from all my recollection.) We are usually the group coming up on the wrecks.

When it comes to RIDING, RIDING,,,, I only do that with a small group of people I trust riding that fast with. Any group over 5 and that idea needs to be put out the door.

Thanks for the input and you are correct in your words above. And we respect your decision. There will always be another ride...

Probably 2, maybe three, depending on the mix.
