Correct.

Tires were fine. In fact, they look good enough that I plan on running them this weekend at Cresson.

Which leads me to another question....

Will a good loook at the tires tell some of the story?

I heard that if you indent the tire with your fingernail and it stays there a while itís still a good tire. sounds like BS to me. Anything to that John?

But I can tell you that I lowsided my first TD on perfectly good, properly inflated BT 002ís. I moved up to level 2 and felt I had something to prove. I thought I was doing great then Woosh! Later Tom told me I was riding way over my head and leaving my square on the seat.
We aggressive rookies. Maybe you got some of what I had.

Very well may have...on the way down there, I was all excited. I told the person riding with me, "I feel good....I'm gonna push it today." Then I got that lap timer cuz I wanted to see if I was improving. Bad idea for me! When I rolled into the pits after the crash, I gave the bike a once over, then grabbed the lap timer!

i just cant seem to help it. Been racing most of my life on dirt. I have some mental malfunction when it comes to just takin it easy.

But I did learn a valuable lesson or 2 or 3 or 4! The first of which is that I HAVE to learn to be smooth. The fastest lap I ran, following Irish, was so smooth, following his lines, that I did not feel like I was even close to riding over my head.

Oh Jesus thatís funny!
Those exact words (in bold) came out of my mouth two days ago at TWS (Texas World Speedway). My first day with a lap timer!

Same here... Funny thing is that they feel slower.

Also, there is a bump in the bus stop as someone else has mentioned, if you are on the right line you dont hit it, but if you start switching up lines through there to get around someone you can cross right over it at full lean. It has taken me out CW there, and I also crashed goin into that turn too hot CCW back when they still ran the track that way.

That is just a b|tch of a turn! The whole track is cursed for me, I crashed there in January goin into the carousel and ended up in the hospital.

Not sure if it was mentioned or not, but I believe that corner has some bumps or whatnot right at the apex about 1 foot out from the curbing. Possible that could have played a roll with any of the other mentioned items, or were you already clear of that area?

**edit** I see it has been mentioned.
