Want Husky 510SMR or KTM 690 SMC to continue the hooligan activity

Geez... sharing the lane?!?!

I know I'm for lanesplitting, though I really don't do it right now, till its someday over the rainbow gets legalized and I have rights to it. HOWEVER, what is with cars and sharing my lane all of a sudden. I must admit, the last couple days I've been a tad bit more aggressive, not too much, but enough to be a little more hooliganish on the beltway.... BUT what the ?

Both times braking was hard, or right in front of me so I move in the right part of my lane to look around, and cruise there just a few seconds watching. I'm close the emergency lane, but ain't riding in it. A BMW yesterday, and a SUV tdy that were both behind me take it as a my letting them get 10 feet further in front of me.... WHY? It always happens when I'm NOT being a hooligan. If i wait... this happens. I looked over and 4 feet away is a SUV that was just behind me and decided I was letting him by, despite me still cruising in the lane at the speed limit. Regretabbly my gunning it on my 250 and taking off in the emergency lane to get away from that and the other pyshcos didn't really launch me away, but just motivatidly pushed me......

Geez. I really need to keep remembering cagers are idiots. Ride in the middle if I don't want to get pushed out of the way. I don't get riding normally, but I was ticked.

When it comes to highway riding, or in traffic, I do whatever it takes to get to where im going. Lane spliting, walking around cars to the front of the line at a red light, ect. If you dont ride like everyone is out to kill you, you wll be ran over, I promise. Im sick of people driving like @$$holes also, but it comes with the bike.

ps, theres a reason they nicknamed me "Hooligan" lol

When they use the side of your lane to speed over to the lane beside you(like you aren't there when staggered to the left) cut to the right side of the lane really quick and see what type of reaction you get...

Works better to turn around and look at them w the proper hand signal for 'what?'

I weave back and forth in my lane.. bob my head and torso like I'v got some music blasting in my ears. Usually keeps a decent distance off my and out of my lane/space for the most part.

I did have some chicka in a pickup, start to change into myne at a light... looked over right as I hit the horn. She pulled back into her lane, looked apologetic and looks like she mouthed an apology. I slowed and waved her into the lane... Goes a lot further than doors and mirrors.

It's certainly not kosher for a cage to initiate lane sharing, that's for sure. I wonder if your dive to the far right side of the right lane might have been misinterpreted by the cager(s) as yielding the way for them? I'd make a mental note to avoid that particular maneuver in the future.

Stake your claim to your lane - ALL of your lane - by occupying various parts of it periodically, and avoid diving all the way over to one side by the shoulder unless it's really necessary.

If we are more then one, I put us in the fast lane if our pace is at or a hair faster then traffic. If its raining Im always in the fast lane. If traffic is flying by then we go to the second fastest. Reason being no one is going to come into your lane from an onramp.

If Im on an outside lane(fastest or slowest) I will stagger closer to the traffic to be seen. Other then that, its accident awareness. Plan for it before it happens.

i agree. theres no need to kick peoples cars. the day after i bought my bike last month, there was a news story about a rider in houston. him and a miata got into it on the road and were yelling back and forth. the biker went to kick the miata whos window was open. he lost control went off the road, hit a tree and died. really showed that dude in the cage eh?

Yeah. I love lane sharing, but honestly, if I was going to get a ticket I would think that riding between cars when the emergency lane is wide open would get me "more" of a ticket and also more riders angry.
