I Need Advice

It has been almost 4 months since the sale of my bike and no title yet. The deal was kinda funky on my end and I had to wait on the title until after my check got to him. Well the check went out fine but still no title in return. I know he had the title because he showed it to me at time of purchase. I know the bike is titled in HIS name because I did my own little investigation. Now my question is: "how the do I get this moron to un- my title?" Any advice is greatly appreciated and all flaming will be taken with a grain of salt.

if all else fails and you want to take legal action. Send him a letter telling him he has 10 days to issue you the title or action will be taken, send this certified with delivery confirmation from usps. This is called a "letter of demand" and will make a civil matter into a criminal.

Because my bank is a lying sack of turds. I checked to see if I qualified for a loan over the phone, "sure c'mon in". I go to get the loan and guess what..... No loan for you, your credit sucks. G thankx. Well day of sale rolls around, I get a cosigner, and put down $1000 cash for a deposit (couldn't get the money from the loan that day). Sent him a check a few days later. Should have kept the check and had a $1000 Aprilia. Hindsight...........

Amen with the letter of demand. I hadn't even thought of that. Sure enough makes it a criminal matter then. If I do not get a response from him where do I take my next step? Small claims can only help with money correct? I'm not sure what to do next. (letter will be written this afternoon)

Do you have an address for him? Pay him a visit with a couple friends. If you do not know where he lives or have an address then it doesn't matter for the letter of demand, all that matters is that you made an attempt to send it to the name you have. After the time has passed and no response you would take the copy of the letter, certified receipt and delivery confirmation from usps to the sheriffs office and show it to an officer. Ask for the officer to escort you to the dudes house if he didn't answer if you attempt to go there yourself or they will attempt . With a bill of sale another option would possibly report a lost or stolen title and present the BOS so it is sent to you with your name on it. Good luck dude

Sheriff's office, got it. Now would that be the Sheriff's office for my county or his? Yes, I do have an address for him. Any volunteers?
