The majority of cars out there are automatics. The most that try to mess with me are camaros or trucks; to which I would normally look at, shake my head and keep looking straight ahead and maintain speed(pizzes them off too.)

In every group I've come across w a honda or whatever trying to race one of us, its a quick second before it happens. The automatic shift down two gears w a kickdown switch at least and will jump before someone can downshift three gears or whatever and then need to torque up.

I feel slow in 6th when I roll the throttle but I realized just how much power difference there is on a ride to galveston w some peeps from PP1... one of them was falling behind and messing w his backpack. I came beside him and signalled if he were ok.... he looked over, gave the gesture to 'go,' downshifted three gears and rolled the throttle... I was in sixth and just rolled my throttle to over half and kept up with him. I then realized he was trying to race or something. I had my left hand on my hip while he was lunged over the tank...

A vette would get a jump on me from a freeway(60) start cuz 80 is the top of my 1st gear and Im not downshifting 6-2; the torque curve goes down at 9krpms; so third I settle with, which kills my take off for about 2 seconds... It wipes the grin off their face cuz 3rd is good for around 140 or so.

I feel like a peddler when they ask me to do a burn out and I hold out my hand asking for donations for a new tire.

They assumed liability of the stunt when they demanding you to act. You felt threatened for your life.

I don't need one at all. I may buy in the future just to see what it's all about though. I'll probably just buy a Z1000/Busa/ZX-14 though.

A 600 is plenty fast for me although the quicker acceleration of one of the bigger bikes would be nice at times. It is frustrating when you are riding on someone's tail in the corners but can't pass or catch them on the straightaways. Happens a lot when riding the forest.

TOD - Torque On Demand, in any gear. None of that pesky downshifting to get some acceleration.

Powering up 60-80 mph wheelies in third FTW!
And I completely agree, sometimes a downshift or two on a liter bike for an OBSURD amount of acceleration in light to medium traffic seems like a necessity.
But what do I know, all I ever rode is a 600.

"The r6 is fastter cuz the 6 is bigger than the 1 so the r6 is bigger and faster"

ok so a dodge viper or comparable super car might out accelerate a 600 after 150 or so. provided the 600 rider knows what he is doing. (not neccessarily saying that i do) but then see who can bring it to a stop faster, or who can get through that hairpin faster.
my 600 is more than enough for me for now. of course i weigh 145 soaking wet. im pretty sure its the 750 from here anyway. 1000 is more than i need.
