Well it was a long trip but very well worth it. Alan, Bill Drake, William G, Larry M. rode up with Fred Alley with CMFR in thier RV. Big thanks to Fred for getting us up there. We arrived Thursday at about 8am then sat around for a few hours before going to the musem. That was amazing in its self and could easly take a whole day to see it all.

We finally got in the gates about 7pm, long story on that one and set up our pit. We rode the Ed Bargy trackday on Friday and were all lost the first few sessions. The track is a tough track with all the elevation and blind turns. The trackday was also a little unorganized at first but by the end of the day things smoothed out a little.

Come race day we all felt a little bit better about the track but most had some kind of suspension issues since our bikes are set up for a flat track instead of having the suspension working over time every turn. Tires were also some what of an issue on Sunday for me atleast since the track was a little cooler and i was on Med front and med rear. Most of us also learned that some of the guys there sucked on the brakes and we took advantage of that going into turn 1 and turn 5.

All in all we had a good weekend but were on some guys home track that have turned lots of laps there. Check out the CCS website if your really interested in the results.

Pics to follow soon im uploading them now.

Loaded them all to there then pasted links here.

I also beat my goal for the weekend. I just wanted to break 1:40 and ended up doing a 1:38.9

If anyone gets the chance to go there DO IT. Its worth every penny.

Glad you guys had fun John. We go in 4 weeks. I can't wait to get back on that track.

What were the temps, and what compound tire would have been ideal?

It was mid to low 60's in the AM and maybe mid to lower 80's with not too much sun on sunday. The track was a little cooler that day and I was running Med front and Med rear. The front was hooking up but the rear was spinning up out of the turns. The reccomendation for the weekend was med front soft rear. Mind you this was on pirellis not sure about the stones.

I was mid pack in my races, like Allen said the top novices were running FAST times like 34's and 35's. My best time was a 1.38:955 then had a red flag.
