MOTOGP - Czech GP - Spoiler mm kind of

Nicky Hayden to miss this weekend's Czech Republic Grand Prix at Brno after X Games injury.

That is why they normally don't let them play around during vacations.

Nicky Hayden will miss this weekend's Czech Republic Grand Prix due to a foot injury sustained during a Supermoto event at the X Games in Los Angeles on August 1.

The fun outing 'backfired' on the 2006 MotoGP world champion when he injured his right foot during a heavy landing from a jump. The damage is to the calcaneus, or heel area, of the foot.

Following the incident Hayden visited eminent orthopaedic surgeon Dr Arthur Ting and sought the opinion of other specialists who finally advised (on Monday afternoon, US time) that he should rest the injury to avoid further complications and return at the San Marino GP at the end of the month.

He's not really a factor in many of the races though I do wish he was.

"Not that good"???

"He sucks"???

Come on, you all can't be serious! Do you even begin to understand what it takes to make it to that level of riding? Especially on a bike like that?

Jeez, I don't think he's as good on these bikes as he would be on the earlier MotoGP bikes (without all the TC bs), but for cryin' out loud, he certainly doesn't "suck"

Not to mention, sometimes when the Team Doc says "no", it's "no" regardless of what you want to do.

if you'll notice, i blame most of his discrepancies on the "test" bike! i know he's developing the new set up and it sucks, not all his fault but still! he's just playing the hand that he was dealt!

Clearly that's what you're saying...

I'm really frustrated with Hayden too, he's not my favorite rider, but I know he's capable of more. I think you're right about being a test mule, but by the same token, he should do much better than he does. Certainly he should be finishing as well (or better) than the Gresini team's riders IMHO.

His losses and finishing spots are his fault, and also his team's fault. Tires have sucked for him (evidenced by the other Michelin rider's issues), and he's had some other issues with the bike in general.

And some of us (myself included) thought his injury was just BS used to get out of the X Game race where he was doing poorly in the dirt.
Guess we were wrong; doubt he’d take the BS that far.
