Really depends on the group. Some rides are pretty fast, some are a cruise. Just have to pick and choose.

Any of the better groups will wait, and have a group for the slower or newer riders.

If you want to go for an easy pace, let me know. I can run slow or whatever.

I am pretty much gone offshore this month as well.

Speed limit thru the forest is 55 and 60; curves are marked anywhere from 30-45 mph.

We'll set something up and run whatever pace you are comfortable with.

Guess we'll start a "Noob to the Forest Ride" thread and see who wants to go check it out at a relaxed pace.

Very true. One of my gripes about some rides and the "ride your own pace" speech is that some newer folks don't have any idea what their pace is yet.

I also enjoy watching a line of bikes flowing thru the good roads, as opposed to a few blowing by, then a couple more, the one here and there.... know what I am saying? I enjoy the group and the riding together.. chasing or being chased all day tends to lead to pushing yourself past your skill set and taking soil samples.

You can come on our forest rides, cuz no one is ever left behind. We wait at all intersections and have leaders in groups with a set pace. Just look for the ride in the events section.

For sure if you get a change go out with Texlurch, he is an awesome and experienced leader.

Ditto on tiatool and/or Caligonetx rides. They always break it down to accomodate all skill levels.. just be honest on your skill and you won't get in a bind.

The forest is a race; first to get to order the Yankee burger wins, otherwise you're waiting...

JK....

PM was sent w the our usual riding characteristics. Remember as I mentioned we will assign someone if you're not comfortable at those paces to ride a pace you can be comfortable with. So you're not looking at an empty road ahead of you.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-

Its safe man. If you go with caligonetx or tiatool, your in good hands. They know the roads and they wont leave you behind. They always have a sweaper and a leader on there rides with plenty of backroad experience. Its a fun ride, just stay within your limits

Plus one... or ride the same speed all day and the first one to tap the brakes buys lunch...

Better bet is who wants to run thru there at 80, no brakes allowed, one handed only?
