Don't worry about buffing it, you don't need that seat part, anyway. Seats are overrated.

look at the damage to the lower right fairing, the dent in the bottom side of the exhaust can and the scuffing on the frame slider,scraping on the back end of the swingarm... it was put down on the right side and slid..the bike turned around.. first into a divider or a parked car....

just my opinion...
