I have done the Iron from Orange to El Paso and let me tell yah...that kills ur ..and here to dallas isnt too bad though....i recommend getting the air-gel seat for longer trips...most sport bikers haven them if there into the traveling thing..

tight. i still havent decided what weekend. i dont think i have any plans for this weekend. but i might just make it for after thanksgiving. that way itll make it easier for everybody else to plan. but who knows, i might just make a quick trip this weekend.

I have never made a long trip on my bike either and would love to do this, ...
2 concerns:

1) How much money will this generally take?

2) What if someone breaks down and can't fix their bike that far away?

I got two huse bmw side bags I take along with me....can bring a chain and chain all the bikes together...you get about 40 miles per gallon on a 600 cruising at about 75mph...so you fill up about three times from what i remember...

i have my old apt out there also i can talk to my old roomate and see if he is gana be there if not we can put the bikes in the garage there and stay also
