Question I need EVERYONES opinion and feedback on my bike problem!!

What do you guys think!? I need some advice here and personal thoughts. I found an engine for 150 bucks on ebay, but I am skeptical if its like they say it is. It has 17500 miles on it and came off of a 1996 ZX6E. Granted I already sold the upper cowling and headlight, front fender, windscreen and I cut the harness to get the voltage regulator out, and sold that too. So I am gonna need to do alot of splicing/crimping and buy these new parts again!!!!! lol So far the demand for the bike parts is there, but these ppl dont spit out the cash, they just inquire!! So What should I do guys?!?! Part the bike out or just get the engine, hope it runs good and keep the bike?? Any feedback is highly appreciated and welcomed!! I paid 2500 bucks for the bike, and everything else is good on her, just ask CaligoneTX and the ppl who know me!!

Thanks!

-Fern

Well even 150 for the engine aint bad...but fairings and headlight gonna cost ya...be prepared even with the engine to spend a few hundred to get her running again.

its not worth it. part it out and get something else. the 6e wasn't even that great of a bike when it was new...no offense, but there's much better bikes out there to spend your money and time on!

it is in great shape, but considering the time required and finding parts for it to rebuild it... I'd keep parting it out and buy something you'd be more comfortable with.

Que pasa, Chinito?!?! Contra mano, ya te enteraste de lo que me sucedio el sabado pasao. Te he tratado de llamar pero el telefono que me diste no funciona. Tal vez lo anote mal... Como has estado? A ver si vienes con nosotros el 9 de agosto, creo que Matt me va a prestar su moto para que yo pueda ir.

Echame una llamada para que se registre tu telefono en el mio.

Saludos!

I was looking into an RC51 but realized I needed something more streetable for as much as I ride. Going V-twin is a big change; and to such an aggressive sitting bike... nice choice in my book.

+1 on the RC. One of the most uncomfortable bikes ever made. They don't call it a "torture rack" for nothing. It's a great trackbike, or something that'll spend lotsa time with spirited riding. But it's definitely not everyone's daily driver.

It was one of the first bikes designed for the track first...

I passed on it but props to those who ride the rides I've been on with it...
