I thought about doing this on my 636 when i had it...I use to put my insurance papers in a ziplock bag where the tool kit is under the rear seat and the plastic would melt because it was so hott under there...and my girls would burn....

I dont think u are gonna get much air flow there...u are gonna be blockin it...i would say try doing some small slits on the small flat part 1 inch outside of where u have them now

Debating...I just got my Pazzo levers in gold to match my forks and caliper's.I was thinking either black or gold mesh....probably black. Don't want to over due the gold.

Good point! Black it is! For sure. Probably going to do it this weekend. Just worried about "veining" the paint...hmmm...

Is there a better tool than a dremel with a cutting wheel for cut it with?
