I didn't read much on the site, but depending on how thick it is and what material is used, it should be perfectly strong enough axially, but torsionally, I would be suspicious...

Tempered Lexan less then an inch thick; I'd be concerned about weight and mounting... The Lexan I have is strong, at 3/16" is will not allow u to bend it with any heat I assure you... As for a bike rim, sure looks purty w that clean bike.... that seat looks unused too...

they are TUV approved, so my guess is very very safe. thats not something they hand out like biscuits!

I never understood 2 wheel tuner for exactly that reason. They cover beat up street fighter stunt bikes in almost every picture with a bike actually being ridden, and every feature bike is some stretched and slammed liter or larger bike with a $12,000 paint job and a 360mm rear tire...

like they have a personality disorder or something.
