not long; use a hair drier or heat gun and go over the surface, dont hold it on the paint. This will loosen up the glue and allow you to peel easier. Wurth clean solve or another grime cleaner would remove the remainder of the grime from the tape and blend the discoloration. then rewax the area that the clean solve would have removed.

if the sticker is under the clearcoat like on a gas tank, well, u need a knife.

thats something u want to take your time with ... trust me, i know! if you try to rush it, it will actually end up taking longer and become a mess! if you doing it slow and use a heat gun and use some goo gone or bug tar remover after every small pull you can take the stickers off as a whole piece. if the sticker rips, it starts to become !
