Harris Hill Road

Anyone hear anything about the new track in San Marcos, Harris Hill Road (http://www.harrishillroad.com/)? I live in Austin so it is really close to me (for once), but I don't know anything about it. I saw some youtube videos and it doesn't look bad.

I got nixxed on heading up to MSRH this weekend (wife has to go out of town on Sunday) so I am thinking about checking this track out on Saturday. The company that owns and runs track days out there is Elite Track Days (www.elitetrackdays.com), they only run at HHR at this point.

Any info?

Hummmmm, i thought I was asking if anyone knew anything about it? If you actually look at the site there is very very little information available.

I was hoping that someone who has actually been there could chime in and give me some info

My $.02 is this.

The good: I've heard it's a fun little track. Lots of elevation and a decent layout. And for you (and me) it's local in Austin (Buda/Kyle). Small riding groups and 30 inute sessions (alhough that is too long for me in this heat).

The bad: $200. If I pay $200 for a trackday it better be at Barber, Laguna Seca, or Miller Motorsports Track. (Those tracks aren't even that much money).

Just to end this thread on a positive note I checked out the vids, talked to the owner of Elite and the track looks pretty bad !

Can't wait to get there on Sat! Just as a reference they refer to the track as H2R! The aprilla guys mentioned above said it is pretty sweet!

Awesome a track close to home!

Yep, I'll be there. I've actually been on it. They had a track "viewing" a few months back where we got to get a couple of sessions on it. I think it has some rubber on it now! There's some pretty cool sections...

Want to make sure of something! Someone suggested they thought I was saying something negative about TTD or MSRH and that is not the case! I love you TTD folks, never been to MSRH so have no input, irrelevant any who.

I was just saying that my wife has to go to California on Sunday and she doesn't want to go to Houston on Friday night, stay in a hotel, have me ride all day and then get home at midnight on Saturday. Then wake up the next morning and get on a plane. Nothing to do with anyone or anything other than bad timing. She keeps my locked up pretty good so not much I can do

So if you took offense, sorry! l8r

...guess it beats the $100 track days other orgs offer.

Let us know what you think of the track once you ride it, and if it was worth all the money.
