He's a MotoGP racer, and you can't get to a higher level then that - to go on press and ask Honda for a ride for a SuperMoto event in his hometown is what he did. Then he backed out of it. Not so "superstar" like in my opinion.

We just had a racer leave us for good (RIP Jonesy), he died doing what he did best and what he loved the most. To die at his peak - is coz he never held back, that's why he's racing at the level he is. Again mere mortals like you and I will probably not see that level of racing.

Every now and then racers get a wild card ride or oppurtunity, they take it and they give it their full. Sometimes they surprise the world (like Troy Bayliss filing in for injured Sete Gibernau in 2006 and coming in 1st!), sometimes they don't.

Again if Hayden's a MotoGP racer and did'nt get "asked" to ride, but rather "wanted to ride" - only to back out - in my opinion......................

Feel free to bash me all you want - it is what it is.
I'm not going to bash you...I was just saying that his level of racing is more business than pleasure and doing something that may hurt your business is not a very good idea. I'm sure he wanted to compete deep down, but decided against possibly hurting his "real" job.
