Street Triple pipe on Daytona?

I want to get the exhaust canister out from under my seat. The only manufacturer that offers a system is Zard and it is expensive.

Triumph offers a 3 into 1 by Arrow for the Street Triple. None of the dealers can tell me if it will fit the Daytona and don't seem to be interesting in trying to find out.

I don't want to spend $1200 to find out that it won't fit between the plastics. Anybody have any ideas?

You would most likely have to cut the plastic to make the arrow fit.....

The Zard is definitely not in my future. Too pricey. I am finding where lots of peeps have done what burnboy suggest and fabricated their own using an aftermarket GP style muffler and the factory headers.

Problem is, I have ridden next to Azylum with his GP style exhaust and that thing is TOO loud. (Sorry Mike, but it's true.) So now I need to do some more research and find something with reasonable tone and decibel level.

Once I find it, the cutting and fitting will begin.

I'm one of the seniors on this forum but I try not to act like it.

After D&D's on my 1200 and a Brock's system on my ZX-14 I am tired of loud. I have the SBK on the 675 now and it is just right. If I could figure out how to use it I would but I think it's too big to hang on the side of the bike.

I've been tempted to take a plasma torch and cut an access hole in the stock can and "modify" the internals on my wifes 675.

mike staley at bar tuning on dixie dr between telephone road and mckawa or how ever you spell it has one and is a sweet tig welder. its a vw audi shop but hes just a good mechanic and etc etc etc. he has a plasma cutter as well. there is a guy on 675.net goes by superlight, he shortened his can by a lot. then re stuffed it with wool and glass packing and riveted it and tigged the end back on. check it out if you like but it is super clean and tucks under the taillight. http://triumph675.net/forum/showthread.php?t=22517 check it.

I think I found something that might work. Micron has a GP exhaust for the '06 R6 available in black that is rated at 94 decibels with the baffle. Since I will be removing about 3 feet of pipe and the catalytic convertor I will probably need the baffle to maintain some back pressure.

Can someone photoshop that canister onto a Daytona?

Thanks Scott. How about just slapping it on the red one above. That's all I need to make up my mind.
