no need to do that at walmart. at all the walmarts i go to there is plenty of room to park the bike up near the building on either side without being in the way of the fire dept, pedestrians, and handicap customers.

+1 on the NB cops. I got pulled over and given a warning for doing "6 over the limit" a while back. He flashed his lights and pulled me over when I was stopped at a stop sign. I was literally stopped. Then he asked me what the emergency was.

To this day I have no idea what was going through his head. I think those guys are really, really bored. Maybe it was a Super-Trooper moment.

as far as this instance, Ive never parked in a handicap zone, but Cinemark 18, I park inbetween those yellow polls witht he other bikes all the time, cops dont care. They are standing there when you park.

I also drive up the middle part of amc 30 and park infront of everyone(keeps the bike out in the open where people can see it) No problems there.

Infact, one time I ended up parking next to a off dudt sheriff deputy that was doing security for the place. He was really cool.

Haha...what's your emergency at 6 over. lol. You should have said this is a test only a test if it had been an actual emergency, I would have been going 40 over the limit. (in the voice of the emergency broadcasting service) Lol

When I pulled away I kept thinking I should have said, "Well, sir, I was leaving your house, and your wife said your shift was over soon." That would have been a beat down fo-sho though. LOL

...it's all the reading challenged... or... overweight 'handicaps'. Lately I've noticed a large # of 'fit/trim' uhmm so called, minorities using the 'carts' they have for the old people. Only 1 of them had a cast or appeared to be suffering from any kind of 'injury'.

As I am finishing eating my food which is about ten minutes, I noticed Nassau Bay Police (near NASA) drive up and take a picture of my bike. I hurry up and throw away what I had left and went outside. The cop comes up to me and asks if this was my bike and I answer yes and tell him I was just inside for a short while and if he can give me a break. He ask for my license and goes back to his vehicle. I'm thinking he is doing a background check but decides to write me a ticket for "Park Blocking Handicapped Access". I was like what the !@#%. I come to find out the violation costs 260 dollars. He wrote the ticket like if I did a moving violation. You don't need my information only the bike information is necessary if it is a parking ticket.
What is your take or experience?
So what your saying is that you wanted a sign like this

I've parked my bike twice in the crossed yellow lines at The Galleria and it has been okay. I've seen other bikes do the same. I guess they don't do anything there since we are letting cars use the spaces and there are not enough to go around there. That works for me.

I went to Memorial City Mall and did the same thing, but made sure not to be beside spaces. I was in between the rows and I ended up getting a parking citation notice from Security. It said it could get towed. I was a bit peeved since Security saw me when a I pulled up and turned off my bike but didn't say or do anything. The guy waits until I'm inside to leave the paper warning on the bike.

I got a ticket like this once, but got it dismessed because the cop quit the force and was not at my court day.

I got the same notice over at Baybrook Mall yesterday. I really didn't know it was illegal to park against the side of the building...even though theres more than enough room for emergencies. I really need to find out about parking my bike next to Walmart, thats the only place I park at.
