you can argue for the ride all you want, but fact of the matter is, IT'S NOT WORKING. people are dying and people are getting hurt.

thats not fool proof. trackday orgs can get sued for track events as easily.

will the crashe win, prolly not, but the T/D org will have to shell out $ for defense. same thing that WILL happen to a ride organizer.

So let me get this straight....its unsafe..to many go down. for many reasons

so they modify to help, and it does slightly. (spliting into three groups)

and that is wrong too? what would u prefer? 40 ppl in one group and the "novices" in front of the "advanced"?????

do you guys hear yourself on a serious note? wtf

yes guys, put it all in one group. dont bring street/and track riders education to the streets. It would be much safter to have 40 +/- in one group. so the noobs can get uncomfortable with ppl on their tails or startled when a fast person passes....how dare you try to bring the education you do have to the ones with less and how dare you put the noobs that do have high egos in the slow groups with the other high egos....they would be much safter in the "advanced" group trying to keep up with the fast guys...

This has become retarded... If you don't like the way someone organizes a ride, don't sign up for it. period. game over.

I don't know about any locked thread. A admin simply asked we take the discussion out of the other thread and we did. This thread was meant to be a discussion of what we can do to make group forest rides safer. So far has pretty much been people getting defensive or arguing there is nothing you can do, people will wreck, people will get hurt or die. I think this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. There is logical discussion that can come from this thread on the intended subject and good solutions that could come out of it....sadly I think it won't because people are more interested in getting pissy and arguing.

Our sweepers are; usually in full leathers... sometimes tiatool is the sweeper as well.

Riders down were never left by the sweepers on the last rides...

We even appointed people to go back if the slower groups were out timed... everyone still waited unless leaders agreed to lead them on to a better place to stop. We all have phones.

I guess we need to have 30-40 partner-only rides and look like a bunch of bumble bees out there so that we truly have small rides... And I'll bet myself and my riding buddy will make it around that corner faster then those three other groups of two next saturday... wanna race?
