the forest is dangerous... lions and tigers and bears.

but for real, people are going to ride fast out there and are going to go down... just like cops will be there and write tickets... nothing you can do but to encourage responsible riding

Agreed. Thank you much.

Guys I disagree on this thread being a bad idea...I think this topic needs to be discussed. Every time we talk about it people fly off and threads get locked. This is a problem that needs a solution...and saying there is no solution is just foolish.

When will we talk about the issue? When it's too late?

we have tried to before... it's a public road and people are going to ride like they want to... there are curves out there... some sharper than others, and until some people go down, they don't even know what thier limit is... it's like drinking... how many can i have before i pass out, you don't know til you get there. some days may be 14, some days 16... same as the forest, one day you limit on a corner is 75, the next is 55 due to sand on the road.

say what you will...but i still think its not the best time to start a thread like this. Waiting a few more weeks would be more appropriate...just my opinion...

I think large groups are a bad idea just my 2 cents. seen a lot of rides and it seems like when there is a large group is when the bad $hit happens

but out there....new guys go out there, overthink their limit, try to hang with some of the faster guys...at those high speeds, they will be lucky to live. so let them wreck and be seriously or fatally injured and then they will figure it out? I don't think so. You can make people aware of the dangers and risks.

we are in the biggest riding time all year. i have seen these rides go from 10-12 people back in march to now total groups close 80 people. the attendance of forest riders are growing at an incredible rate. the issue needs to be discussed.

NO MORE NOOBS

j/k

No matter how slow some people are led into the turns (after being warned) people still go down. Not sure how you're going to reduce the amount of riders running off the road unless you keep the ride to pm's and don't invite people inexperienced with those roads to ride along. But, that's not really fair to those who never been. Gotta start somewhere. Also, it may reduce the number of riders going down but even experienced riders go down sometimes too.
