kinda hard, unless you are a good welder and have access to the metal that's strong enough to use.

How hard would it be to do it yourself? Depends on your skill and access to the right tools. I think your best bet would be to find one on ebay or cbrforums.com that meets your application. If you are set on using your same stand I imagine any decent welding shop that's open to the public would be able to cut it and weld an additional chunk in. Check with Patrick @ Motorcycles Unlimited, I know he cuts down stands, he may be able to extend them as well

This thread just got soooo much better, I guess you realized it was a dream when you saw you had a chick with you? jkjk

On a serious note, if you guys do extend it yourself, do it RIGHT! It would really suck to drop your bike due to a faulty stand

Out of curiosity, why is your kickstand shorter than it should be?

That's the issue I'm having with my bike right now. Just figured I'd ask because if for whatever reason his stand is stock and it's still too short, buying another stock stand would do him no good. If it's shortened I could ask around on the cbr forums if he's not a member, I've had good luck finding parts there in the past.

i dont think its lowered or the kickstand is shorter. but he doesnt like his bike leaning real low on the kickstand when its sitting and it will only sit with the steering turned a certain way, if not it will feel like its going 2 fall

I'll see if I can locate the length of the stock stand anywhere...not sure if that's listed in the manuals. Measure your stand Dreamer and let us know what length it is.
