Yup, that's my boy. He really loved that bike; the first bike he ever rode back in the 80's was a KZ1000 and it just was "him".

He was waaaayyy too big for the poor little R6...

Yes I will not forget that ride.. We had some goober roll past the group in Livingston doing mach 1 then turn around and roll back the the other way. I was behind Tim and you could see just how disgusted he was at the squids actions.

Another time long time back, him and another of my adopted kids went out playing in Tim's 93 Z28 and they hit the nitrous at idle and blew the intake off.. I get this phone call "uhhmm my car won't start.. heard a pop and dunno" and yes, they were both a little lit that night...

What will suck the most is the next time I go for a ride and look in the mirror and don't see that green thing. He would never lead, always said he would rather follow. It's still amazing to me how much his riding had progressed in the past couple years. When we went to get the ZRX he made me ride it because he had been off bikes for a while and was never much good at turning corners....

i remember that ride and tearing it up with him. wow, seems like last weekend now that i think about it. Im glad im able to say i had the oppurtunity to ride with him.

I love this bike! This is the bike I would've bought if I had found one at a good price. Got a better deal on the 919, and so I went with it. Looks like he had the same preference for Nakeds like me.

This is the first time (in a very long time) I second thought about why I even need to ride. When I met Tim at the Katy Noob ride, I immediately thought to myself that this was someone I'd like to be ride with regularly. From what I can gather, we both started riding in the 80's, at about the same time I believe, and I think we both matured in our attitudes and sense of riding responsibly. Now, reading tiatool and Irish's accounts of seeing him with his daughter at TWS (Texas World Speedway) (who seems to be about the same age as mine), it's really bugging me. My daughter does the same exact thing clinging to my legs like that (especially if a guy like tiatool came up to her! ) . Even with all his time and experience over the years, fate caught up with him, and that's what got me second guessing....

But I guess the answer has nothing to do with my need to ride at all, but rather it's the simple fact that I want to. And that's a very important fact that defines who I am, and who many of us are as motorcyclists.

I am grateful I have had the chances I have had to ride with him, he truly was a special guy. I can't grasp why things happen the way they do but I am torn apart for his family, and for all of our loss.

I rode with him a few times and he was always a cool and laid back cat.

Met with him at his office to talk about work... we spent maybe 10minutes on the subject and then switched to talking about motorcycles... a very productive meeting indeed

You will be missed TIM.

RIP bro.

In all the tears I forgot to say ...
the first time I met Tim and he told me he was "pigpen" I asked him where was his dust cloud (from the Charlie Brown cartoon) He smiled and said it stays with the bike.

Hard to believe that was just the fall of 2006... seems like a hundred years ago. He sure got good in those two years....

I had the same car! '71 MGB-GT. His looks like a '70, since it doesn't have the BL badge on the side, yet still has the squared off orange/red tail-lights.

i tend to to be really shy and am bad with names so when someone asked me if i knew Tim (pigpen) i could only recall meeting him once - just going by the name...then it hit me after seeing all the photos of Tim that i had been on several rides with him before. i am really bad with names so please don't take that as being disrespectful

i was talking with a fellow MHer about this one specific memory i have of Tim. on one the group rides we were on, he had taken notice that maybe something was wrong with me that day. at the 1st stop we made, he came over to talk to me about my 250 and presented his observation about my riding that particular day. he said "you should always trust your gut - if it doesn't feel right, then it probably isn't. we can always ride another day; don't take a chance if you're head's not in the game, too much is at stake". i ended up splitting off from the group and going home. he was right. his words have never left me since that day. he didn't know me and i didn't know him, but as a fellow rider he was just looking out and i really appreciated that. he came forward with tact and sincerity. i wish there more people in this community like that.

may bless his soul and he rest in peace

Erik, only because it was YOU who asked, do I feel compelled to answer. I know you lost a great friend. We have spoke at length.

I was there.

Rest in Peace brother. I will miss you. You posted on Thursday and said that you had the little one and were not going to be able to ride sat or sun. You wanted to ride Friday but I had to work or you know I would have been there.

You werent on the list. When you showed up at the meet spot, I was so excited that you were there. When I saw your green machine pull in, I grinned as big as the sun is.

You weren't supposed to be there Tim. That fact alone leads me to believe that there was divine play on that day. We don't always know 's reasoning for things, but if we trust in him, and have faith..more is always revealed.

Bless You Tim.
