okay heres the deal, i just got my bike rebuilt and unfortunately my tags went out last month. aren't they suppose to send a letter for you to take to the county and get your tags or do you have to go to the dealership and get them?

Depends on alot. Was it bought brand new a month ago? Probably not since you said it just got rebuilt. But yes, like autos, your supposed to get a notice in the mail to renew your expired tags. If not, just simply go up there with ins., DL and you should be good to go.....

yeah we never got a notice. i bought it last year through a private owner but we went to the dealer to get it legally transferred to our names and everything.

so i just take proof and everything to county and i will be able to get a new one?

Roger. As long as it was re-titled in your name, take your ins for the bike, drivers liscense and possibly the title, and you should be just fine.....

technically it was the moms name. i will have to find all the paperwork to show proof of finance and everything on the bike and .

how much do tags normally cost? are they the same price as cars or what?
