I've had the Busa almost 3 years & my Mom still doesn't know I have a bike! It's my 4th bike thru the years, but when my step-father died in a motorcycle accident, she did not want me on another one!
Its all out of respect to her, that she doesn't know! She worries about us kids as it is!
She lives out of town...so what she don't know don't hurt her!

I have to ride!!

Anybody else in my situation?

She called me at 5:47pm, or so my phone says. The first thing she said was "Thank you for answering." She was on her way home when she saw the 2 tarps trying to cover the bodies. It took me a little while to post what happened at first and I still can't get her shaking voice out of my head.
The 2 are still in my thoughts and prayers.

RIP

"A man and a woman were killed in a motorcycle accident that closed down eastbound lanes on the Katy Freeway for nearly three hours Sunday evening, officials said.
The man was driving a motorcycle east on the Katy Freeway near Bingle around 5 p.m., cutting in between other vehicles when he struck the rear of a Jeep Cherokee, Spring Valley Village Police officials said.
When the motorcyclist lost control, he and a female passenger were thrown off. The two, neither of whom was wearing a helmet, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are pending notification of family. "

SPRING VALLEY, Texas -- Two motorcyclists were killed in a wreck on Sunday, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Spring Valley police said a man and woman were killed when their motorcycle slammed into the back of a Jeep Cherokee on the Katy Freeway near Bingle Road at about 5:15 p.m.

Christopher Peltzer, 29, and his female passenger were thrown off the bike, detectives said. Neither was wearing a helmet, police said.

The eastbound lanes of the Katy Freeway were closed for about three hours while police conducted an investigation.

Man, I understand your POV, but....what if something were to happen to you while riding your bike? Do you think she;ll see your POV or a crappy attitude b/c you were "hiding" it. Not sure what I'd do, but I have told a couple of my friends who own bikes to please tell their parents. They are grown ups and can make their own decisions, even if it means upsetting a loved one in their life.
