Teknic Gear

What's the deal with all the close out pricing with Teknic gear on the internet? I have a Teknic lightning leather jkt it seams to pretty good quality. I have a cheap pair of their gloves and like them too. Just seams gear companies are selling their stuff really cheap! Dunno why?

i bought some teknic freestyle boots a while back on closeout, very comfortable overall. Too bad the soles are worn badly after around 1800 miles of riding, the latches on both buckles are broken, and i had to replace the laces already. almost makes me want to not buy their stuff again.

I have herd very bad things about their boots. i have the chicane leathers, its an older style, but you can tell its made very well and the zippers and whatnot feel secure. I dont know whats up with the boots, but they suck.

thanks for the confirm, the leathers look great to me. I am looking forward to the day when I buy my first set! Will keep Teknics on the list for that!

Teknic got the boot by Tucker Rocky, who was their primary distributor.
Prior to that they were given the boot by Motocycle Stuff and I believe even before that, Parts Unlimited.

What's that mean?
Well I used to really like their gloves and some of their higher end leathers, but in the last year or so their quality has REALLY dropped off significantly.
Buy at your own risk, remember the saying; "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."
