Busa Question

Why do people say its the world's fastest motorcycle?

Does it beat the zx14 stock spec wise?

They are both 1350cc stock right?

because it was for many years 1998-2006 (?) Just like the ZX11 did in '91 and the blackbird in '96 a bike comes a long every once in a while that just blows the doors off everything on the road.

It really doesn't matter though as they are all governed now a days for 186mph or 300kph
Though I am not one for spec sheet racing since 99% of riders cannot get 100% out of their bike...

Right now the Busa isn't the fastest but it looks better then the ZX. But to each their own some think the Busa is ugly. If I could handle it I wouldn't mind one.

Busas are 267 pounds lighter than the zx-14, and comes stock turbocharged.

as it stands 08 to 08 the busa is a smidge faster. not enough to really lay down the claim though. but the busa was king for many years.... and it looks better, lol

+1

was that 9 straight years they made the same bike without changing anything but a few minor upgrades??? Even the new busa is amazing to look at, and more power!

Because in 01 or 02 before they governed these bikes they went over 200mph stock thus it's the fastest production bike ever made *in mass numbers*

I love my zx14. But i am to fat to making claims like that..

Besides, a little speedo-healer action and the 14 hits 200mph 'stock'

they still wouldn't do that... i heard 194mph... but never seen it on a bone stock bike. it takes over 200 rwhp for a busa to break 200mph

it takes more then stock to go over 200...

I know my yellowbox is accurate to 150... rode past a speed checker w mark954rr several times on 249 but after that; i hadn't borrowed a gps for a run but my gauge was displaying 205. I guarantee Im not at 200hp, I have about all you can do to a stock engine block(no cams) but wo the proper programming my numbers for hp were at 146 from the brakeless dyno at Houston Powersports.

Just need to borrow my radar...it has GPS in it and shows your speed on the display.
