Safe is good! No problem with that one bit! Nor w bubblegum where u normally see chickenstrips... I love my speed too and the occasional knee down but my biggest concern is safety and people honing their experience in a clean way(not getting into bad habits.) so I almost always end up where there may be a gap in the group to help give a line and a pace.

i have to keep enough speed for momentum or else i get fatigued easily. my seating position is high. like 32 or 33 inch seat hight i think. so my big belly gets a work out holding me off the tank. but my bike corners like crazy. it just dips right into the turn with little effort. but the slower i go the more fatigued i get. i'm gonna have fun. i dont ride with anyone. this will be my first group ride. but im liscensed and took awesome cycles msf. im all about being proper. i'll cut loose when i'm by myself. but i really wanna learn the woods with a group. i cant wait till saturday.

smokingJoe... freaking awesome avatar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we need to declare the requiredments to become a forest gnome... other then simply saying its someone that normally rides the forest...

Maybe someone that is generally expected to show on MH rides through the forest and considers a yankee burger the only way to end the week?

9 months. and 5500 miles. its the moto tho. its quite uncomfortable at times. at speed its great like butter. but slow speeds in a straight line gets redundant. my abs have been getting a great work out and ive lost enough weight that i need a smaller jacket soon. maybe already. oh, i ride a daytona 675 triumph. its pretty purpose built.

you talking about "not riding slow, but safe" and having 5500 miles on your first bike...

If I were you I would stay way in back right infront of the sweeper. MARK MY WORDS- you go out there and try to show off, your going down. I have personally seen 30+ crashes out there, and most of them where new guys. YES, your new.
be carefull and return home how you left.
