MSRH Lap Times ...

So ... I guess the for the SS bikes ... a sub 2 minute lap is the desired goal ... but what if ... say you ride a ninja 250 ... what would you consider a good lap time to try and achieve?

Just askin...

Eric Falt ran a 1:58 on a ninja 250 at the CMRA race....which is plenty good enough to beat a lot of track noobs on 600's and 1000's.

a desired time on a 250 should be around 2:10-2:15 at MSR-Houston

Okay ... 10 minutes I can beat ... 2:10 is my new target ... it's always good to have something to aim for ... measurable goals lead to measurable improvements ...

But ! Sub 2 minutes on a 250? That's insane.

With the new Ninja 250 I think I can get under 2:05 easily...

Umm...

Maybe I'll have to do call my buddy to get in as a member and try that out :$

How much does he sell them for. I think most my track days will be with TTD and want something that is compatible with their transponder. Will any XT racing timer work?

my unofficial lap time at MSRH my first time out was 2:20 or so.

I will be looking to shave some time off that on the third.

brake a half second later and get on the gas a half second sooner for a few sessions

then turn that half second into a second, you will make up lots of time that way.

I'll be out there again on the 3rd ... gonna work on getting braking deeper into the corner and getting on the gas sooner ... I'll also will be working on gear selection ... I think there were a couple places where I could have gone down an extra grear for more power on the exits.... I think... I'm sure the instructors will be able to help me shave a couple seconds by the end of the day.
