I'm bummed.

Saturday, as I was riding back home from work, just like two blocks from home, I lowsided the bike, I was probably going about 15mph, no big deal, eh. Not so, because I was soooo tired from work (we had a killer week) I wasn't riding with the ball of my feet on the pegs like I usually do, but kinda pointing down and out, and my right foot got pinned between the peg and the pavement as the bike fell, and I saw my right foot twisted all the way 180 degrees and broke both bones in the lower leg, man that was painful! I was surprised at how fast help arrivev, within 45 minutes I was at Tomball Hospital getting "serviced" :P And the staff at the hospital were so helpful at all times.

Taking the Xrays was the most painful experience I ever had, but at about 10 pm I was going into surgery, and woke up at about 2am Sunday, a little sore (morphine rocks) but so much better.

It's funny, the first thing my parents and wife asked was "are you getting back on the bike?? " I must confess that I was thinking on not fixing the bike and just forget about it all, but I'm sure next year I'll be back back on the saddle.

No, no nurses with tight white stockings, but, after the surgery to install titanium rods and screws, they put my good leg in a tight, white stocking, to keep blood clots from lodging in the good leg. But it didin't look good on me.

Oh, and I wasn't leaning, i was barely coasting trough the turn.
