Hi Jay! Randy with the C-14 from the V-Max group.
You’ll do just fine In level 1 on the Max at any of the local tracks. I’d advise TWS (Texas World Speedway) or MSRH over GSS though (it’s really tight) I’ll be at TWS (Texas World Speedway) on 8/11. Let me know if you can make it or when and where you are going.

Would renting out an SV650 for the day be out of the question?

Don’t listen to him Jay! Garry’s never muscled a V-Max fast through the hill country and seen at every turn like we have (at least not to my knowledge). It’ll be a blast.
Besides that Gary, get him out there one time, just one time……
And he’ll be buying a track bike.

nothing like a Vmax rider hitting those curves in Bandera/Kerrville... mmm I remember my first time, wow! Last couple of times I have been out there I haven't been on my Vmax and I have experienced those roads on an FZ1, GSXR1 and my SV650... the Vmax was much more enjoyable to me because I seriously pushed myself on other bikes, not saying I didn't scrape my Vmax pegs out there but... I could relax more. I was tense the whole time on the other bikes, hauling but tense

AND I have never had a flat OR TWO on my Vmax Gary
And Gary so ya know... Jay has an FZ1 that would rock out on the track too

Age is not an issue...sort of. I am 52 but I work on keeping my body in shape for riding. I would say TWS (Texas World Speedway) too. It is probably my favorite track, but I like them all. None of the groups I ride with care what you are on, as long as it is safe. Come on out and have some fun!

both my rides are safe, fz1 would be more practical. both of them like to haul
anyone know if a kill switch is required on the bike, rev limited would be more practical (These little guys are funny). working on the track day,

safe riding to you. later, jay

No modifications are required on your stock bike as long as it's in good mechanical condition.
