aim - how important is your pc to you?

another exploit has hit the net... this one via aim (aol instant messenger) :eh:

if your pc is important to you and you MUST have aol instant messenger - then switch to gaim or something like that...

You might also try Trillian. It lets you chat with AOL, Yahoo, MSN, and others all at the same time with one program... Check it out:

Trillian™ is a fully featured, stand-alone, skinnable chat client that supports AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo Messenger, and IRC without stealing your home page and with no other included software, pop-ups, or spyware

for that particular variant yeahsurefinenoproblemo... but other variants can and will probably follow - some of which will likely require no user interaction in order to infect the target machine...

in other words - use gaim or trillian... but never... NEVER aim...

use trillian if you already have aim, yahoo, or msn. all you do is DL the software and insert your login info and you can be on all three and have all your peeps on there automatically.
