LMS Noob day Recap

the day was awesome and the track stayed sticky and dry all day. i noticed HUGE improvements from every rider there. to the few that i worked with most of the day, you guys did great. you guys never gave up effort in changing body position and learning the race line.

learning how to ride on the track doesn't happen overnight....and there's A LOT to take in on the first trackday. it can get pretty frustrating at times, so with that being said, get ready to learn more and be able to apply your knowledge on the second trackday. the 1st trackday is usually for learning, the 2nd trackday is for going FAST!!!

and to some of you guys out there, see you on one of LMS's regular trackdays for some advanced GO FAST knowledge.

Tony, it's because of instructors like yourself, Alanzo, Derek, Buck, Jason, Ricky, Scary Larry and Allen that I keep coming back to the same group everytime.(sorry if I missed any other instructors, you guys seem to keep on multiplying like wet gremlins and it's hard to keep up with all the names)

I haven't brought myself to try another track group, because I just don't see why I would spend the money on somewhere else, when my money is getting well spent with you guys. It's a comfort zone thing that I will eventually have to step out of and try a different group for maybe different pointers. But seriously, you guys put up an amazing learning atmosphere exactly where it needs to happen.......on the track.

Thanks for all the pointers and discussions, and for having the patience for us slower folks.

-Adam

I would like to echo the other's comments as well. I had a blast! I'm a little salty about dumping the F4i, but the new "track rash" makes it look official.

Can't wait for the next one.

Sometimer......it's the experienced look money just can't buy. Street cred my friend.

Thanks to all who made it out, and sorry for those that couldn't due to the schedule change. Weather was hot, but fantastic for riding. Great to spend a day with open minds and willing bodies, great improvments all around. Karen gets the most improved for the day as she really made some great progress on her braking and gear changes. There is a lot going on on corner entry girly, you are well on your way and should be spankin the boys in short order. Remember to practice those drills at every chance.

As always, thanks to the greatest staff on two wheels. Allan, Jason, Alanzo, Tony Mass Master, and our newest, young Ricky Parker. Glad to have your enthusiasm on the staff Ricky, and yes I hope I can be as fast as you someday. Welcome aboard.

Next novice day is Saturday Sept. 13, so send in your emails to get registered as it is already half full and the weather should be cooler by then.

Wish these dates didn't happen to fall on US motoGP weekends. If any others pop up at some point for the remainder of the year I will try to make it in. I need to work on a number of areas and this may be a better atmosphere to focus on them than the regular days I assume.

I may have to come and have ya'll teach me again! I have a feeling it will be like starting all over again once I am allowed to ride again!

I'd like to thank the staff as well. I didn't get a chance to work with Tony, but I did talk with you a bit (THANKS!!). Gonzo, well he knows. Buck and others, I just can't see how a novice/noob/firsttimer day could have went smoother. Everyone is on different playing fields, and ya'll slowed everyone down and started with the basics.

Hat's off to LMS!! You guys definitely rock!
Thanks again.

Thanks to the ENTIRE LMS staff for a great day.
Thanks for helping me figure out a "new to me" bike and indoctrination
into the "chain gang".
Oh yea, the 3rd gear,no brake drill ? Great way to find the marbles in
Diamond's Edge. Had to clean out my leathers after that.
Thanks again for a great day of fun and instruction.

For anyone that was wondering...photos are uploading NOW. I had to delete a bunch and hopefully there are still a few of everyone!

http://s315.photobucket.com/albums/l...0DAY%20072008/

I can recap my day in one word, "SORE".

I feel like an eighty-year old with a bad case of arthritis

At least I got my smoothness back...I was wondering what had happened to it! Now to get the speed again I may still need one more noob day...
