Should have come out to the ECR extravaganza.

10 hours of riding per day, free food, tire giveaways, track day giveaways, gear giveaways, parade laps, $100 per day, expert instruction from expert racers....man, what else can I say.

We are doing it again as BW mentioned on August 16th and 17th. Hope to see you there. Oh BTW, there is a carpooling thread as well so you can try and save costs getting there. 4.5 hours for me and I'm on the NW side.

...yup... if you all get to use the carpooling threads, I think we may be even more efficient with gas guzzling. Anyone that has spaces can pick up another person and split the gas cost. Those can ride together again the next time with the other person driving and still splitting cost. Being more effective with saving money will allow all of us to enjoy what money is left on the things that matter to us more.

I will be starting the August 16/17 car pooling thread shortly, to make sure we all have plenty of time to arrange things, however I was surprised that very few people used the thread at all for the July event. With the distance to the event, I was expecting more usage. We will see this time around.

It was a Helluva deal those guys put on. Worthy of the word extravaganza! The track (ECR) was cool too. I started off hating it then loving it before noon.
A good time was had by all.

...funny, I kind of thought the same thing. This track grows on you the more you ride it I guess. By the 3rd session I was getting into it, and picked my favorite corners. By mid afternoon I pretty much loved all the corners (although I did reserve a special place for corners 3-4 and 11-12).

BTW, we are having another full weekend at ECR on August 16/17. Not sure yet, but we may call it Extravaganza 2 (we are open to suggestions from you....lol).

It will be same price deal...$100/day. I will be posting more about it in the next few days.
Before that, we will be hosting the good old MSR Cresson on August 10 (Sunday). That will be fun any way you look at it.

Yeah, I was there on Sat. I wanted to do it again on Sunday but my shift peg fell off and lost on the last session. Shoulda check on things regularly, every session.

I have always travel with friends to split the cost of gas, and hotel. I don't ever want to go alone fearing that I might wreck and hurt myself and not able to bring my bike back or help me home.

Well if it’s not going to be an EXTRA big deal this time you could just call it the Eagles Canyon Vaganza!

I should correct what I posted above. The Cresson event is just $100 for the day as well.

Also, CMRA racers (w/ current license) will get $20 cash back at check-in for the Cresson event as well.

So it's $80 for racer? Just CMRA licensees?

I was thinking the same thing as I was posting the thread on the forum. Would be good to find out if Dave is OK with other racing orgs Licenses too.
Could you PM me MR. D when you find out? Thanks.

I have done CMRA's requirements but haven't paid for the license since I didn't plan to race this year but next year is for sure.

Is the license good for one full year like a registration/inspection sticker or just til Nov-Dec. of the season?

I'm pretty sure it ends with the calendar year.

Sorry, we have to get the web guy to change it. It is not his full time job so hopefully it will be done soon. One of us will post up when it's done.
