ouch. glad he made it with nothing major or life-threatening. Yeah, I went to Galveston yesterday with a bunch of guys from Lufkin. All squids. I was the only one not in shorts and t-shirt or tank top. They gave me , but I simply said "well, if I wreck, I won't be in near as bad a shape as if one of you guys do." And they're doing wheelies and such. I just cruised. Luckily the trip was uneventful other than some fun on the beach.

Best wishes to your bud. Hope he heals quick.

That girl went down several years ago in that corner. There is no reason to go down in that corner other than speeding and not knowing how to turn. It freaks people out that don't have enough riding experience. It usually happens due to speed and not thinking you can go into the turn so most all of the people that have crashed there are due to standing up the bike and going wide. That girl was in part of some biker group similar to biker boys or Rough Riders. If I remember right, she had a lack of proper protection.

If you are headed west on 1458 it's the left turn right before you come to Clemons Switch Rd. Here is a link to the map so you can get an idea where it's at: http://maps.google.com/maps?t=h&hl=e...,0.013046&z=16

CJ and Anthony were both with him when it happened. I was gona go but decided not to cause I had my Son and had allready made plans to go to the cemetery to visit my Sister.

I got a call last night after he got out of surgery and was told it's worse than what we thought. He has to have surgery again today and a couple more in the near future, not to mention plastic surgery. He will be in there a few months. If anybody want to go visit or send him anything he's in room 703 at Katy memorial hospital. His name is Chris Green. I plan on going up there tonight after I drop my Son off with the EX.

Update

They are moving him downtown to the medical center for two more surgery's. The doctor said he will need to take some bone off his hip and graph it to his leg. He also needs to remove some muscle from his thigh to replace the muscle torn away from his leg. He will be downtown until he is ready to go home.

Sorry to hear about his injury. Memorial Hermann has the best reconstructive surgeon in the nation- Dr. Melissinos- He has worked on my daughter since her accident 2+years ago. I'm sure he'll be up and running around before long.

That's one of the easier turns thru the entire stretch as well...

Hopefully he recovers fully.
