Um I doubt it. Since Rossi has commited to Yamaha until 2010, they don't have to worry about Rossi off

You know you're just upset because the Duc couldn't find the finish line ahead of The Doctor! You betta recogniiiiiiize!

I still surmise that Rossi rode a clean race, and Stoner made one mistake that cost him the race, and that in and of itself, is racing.

No, not off rossi. I thought ducati wouldn't like their rider looking unprofessional.

The score was settled in that first set of turns with 9 laps remaining. With the lead, Stoner failed to protect the inside and Rossi, naturally took him there. The next turn Stoner had the inside but at the end of it and the edge of the pavement, Rossi beat him. Hard racing flat out! A little later in that same lap is when Stoner ran off sealing his fate. Whether it was the rider or the setup it was clear throughout the race that Stoner was on the ragged edge trying to hang with Rossi in the turns.

I still surmise that Rossi rode a clean race (with some dirty passes that he needs to beat the mighty DUC), and Stoner made one mistake that cost him the race, and that in and of itself, is racing.
Fixed for ya

It was an awesome race! Stoner was all over the place. You could clearly tell he was riding hard, but it looked like Rossi was out on a Sunday cruise!

Rossi is da man!

I am also a BIG Stonre fan too! He is an awesome rider to be so young! I look forward to he and Rossi going at it again!

Me thinks Stoner made a huge bo-bo when he refused to shake Rossi's hand...

Now Rossi will do to him what he did to Biaggi & Sete...

Good Luck Dingo !

I kept waiting for the replay but it was forgotten about by the Rossi/Stoner battle! It looked wicked for sure!

No doubt. I jumped out of my chair when I saw that- it was a brutal scene!

That is the appearance, but that's also the way he's been riding that new bike over the past couple of races since he got it. He looked like that in FP1 & 2, and in qualifying- he's been "on the edge" and out-riding the electronics on that bike ever since they got the GP8.

I don't think he was out of control at all, but Rossi was muuuuch smoother when comparing riding styles.

Stoner was very happy with the setup, very happy with the tires, very happy with the track, by his own admission. If he were actually having issues with the way the bike was working, he would have said so.

Until they got the GP8 rolling, I was a pure believer that Stoner was a purely "electronics" rider, and didn't possess the skill that Rossi, Capirossi, Hayden, Edwards, McCoy, and so many others have. I didn't think that Stoner would be able to do anything without those controls; watching him on the GP8 chassis has changed my mind

I think this is the beginning to a great story of races between Rossi and Stoner- I think (hope) that the back half of this season will go down in history like some of the epic battles of the past we often recall (Edwards/ Bayliss, Lawson/ Gardner, Rainey/ Schwantz, etc)!
