looking for a good time

Me and my wife moved here to the Houston area 2 years ago. To help finance the move I sold both of my bikes. To make a long story short I bought a new bike 2 weeks before my son was born. So all that I have been using it for is to commute to work on. My mother-in-law just moved here, so now I have a baby sitter and I want to take a ride with my wife today. I donít know where to go or any good roads. We will being riding 2 up and want to keep a sane pace since we have havenít been on a bike together for almost 3 years.

Any ideas or any rides that we can tuck into today?

Some of us are headed up some really good backroads, leaving the woodlands around 10am and finishing up at Texas World Speedway before 12 so we can do the parade lap(its a track day.)

Our pace wont be anything greater then moderate; one rider requested a rather comfortable pace which Im sure the others would agree. We stop at each intersection along the way and regroup for those who want to go ahead of the leader...

wow... we are going to meet at 242 and I 45.... that's already a good ride up there for ya; TWS (Texas World Speedway) is off highway 6 close to college station so if you wanted an excursion( highway ride sans the country roads) you can go around about 290 or so to get there....

Otherwise, i45 at 242 is where the country road group is meeting. A small number shared interest(7 of us) so it wont be a pressured-to-keep-up group or anything. Our only goal is to get there before 12 so we can ride the free lap.

BTW, the forest is probably one of the nicest roads you'll take; and we normally ride it every weekend just at a different morning pace for more fun...

If you would like a Map I can PM you one
