HILL COUNTRY RIDE--AUSTIN

I'm planning a hill country ride up in Austin. I've been wanting to ride up there ever since I got my bike, and now I've got the chance. So far the date I have planned will be August 10, 11, and 12, which is a Sunday, Monday and a Tuesday. It's not dead set in concrete yet, but as of right this second, thats what it looks like it's gonna be. I know that will be impossible for most of you because its during the week, but it's the only chance I have before the baby is born so I'm going to take it. Anyone and everyone ready, willing and able to go is more than welcome. I'm gonna start a list so that we will know who will be going and we can make sure to have hotels booked. I already have a route mapped out, and believe me these are some awesome friggin roads since I used to live there. So sign up!!

And another note: Yes, of course, this will be fully videoed for your viewing pleasure.

I like the idea of going on the days you picked, because of less travelers on the road & less traffic once we get to the hill country, but we had talked about Nadine following up in my truck, with my trailer, in case anybody had mechanical problems, plus to carry our bags & gear! I know she will not be able to go on those days, but its no big deal!
We will manage on our own! After all we will be riding with "The Chosen One"!!

I am going to put in for the 11th and 12th off on monday and see if I can get those days off approved. I have 7 days of vacation, and usually roll 2 days over to the next year. BUT..... I dont plan on being there next year so I can use these days then.

I will def have an answer by Tuesday. I just cant let them know it to go riding. I will have to come up with a story to have a better chance to get it approved, as there is no one to cover my place when I leave.

Also. If I do get off and end up going and someone is trailering their bike, and can fit another that would be great....lol. If not I will ride it up. No big deal.

May be willing to work a deal with someone on trailering w/ my trailer, but I'd rather ride. Lots of good roads on the way. We'll see when it gets closer

what i was thinking was getting up there on monday and going out that night if we trailer (putting the bikes INSIDE our rooms), that way we can have fun without worrying about the bikes. riding all day tuesday and going out again, then maybe doing a little riding early wednesday before heading home. what do yall think?

edit

if we ride up there, we can always take a cab or the bus. just thought about that.
