July 20 (Sun) Morning Ride to TWS (Texas World Speedway)

Thinking about getting up and riding from Clear Lake to Texas World South at College Station to spectate and chill. Probably won't stay very long. Want to ride up through Chappel Hill. Some nice twisties getting there. We will be avoiding hwy 6 like the plague. (except for a couple miles) Only two bikes going so far. Anyone else?

I'm already close to TWS (Texas World Speedway) so it won't happen for me. Unless you have some other ride after TWS (Texas World Speedway).

YES!!! Be there no later than 12, and we'll get you guys and gals set up. Be sure to have at least a Jacket, gloves, long pants, and boots (something that covers the ankle), even for passengers.

See you at the track

Route and Contact Info

832-561-0593 - Clayton

We can meet at Starbucks/Barnes and Noble at Bay Area blvd and I-45 in Clear Lake - KSU 9:00. Then meet others in Brookshire on I-10 ~ (9:45 AM)

Leave out of Brookshire and take 1458 "racer road" to Sealy 36. Right on 331 to 159. Go left on 159 and right on 1456. 1456 to right on 1371. Take 1371 to 1155 @ 290. Take 1155 to 105. On 105 for very short distance and take left on 159. Take 159 to HWY 6 and you are just a few miles from TWS (Texas World Speedway). Better than the straight, long, drone of Highway 290 and 6.

Exclamation

Gas Stops will be Clear Lake, top off at Shell in Brookshire. Top off at 1155 and 290. Make sure to top off before leaving College Station if you go back the same route. I thought I would make it last time until I ran out of gas and my buddy had to go chug a gatorade and fill the bottle up for me at the gas station.

Also, be aware of loose bulls standing in the middle of 1155.... dangit

Im interested in this too. Maybe even going earlier. I'd be coming from inside the loop. How long there and back? I'd definately want to make a lap on the track if possible.

Wanna ride the forest and 3090 to TWS (Texas World Speedway) instead of 105 to 6?

that's how I'll be riding if I go Sunday

We will only be on 105 for less than a minute. We take 159 to 6. Do you mean to go past 6 and take 3090, or do you mean to take an entirely different route and end up at 3090? I wouldn't mind riding up your way and going home the other way.

I'm definitely interested in seeing the track after hearing about it last night at BDubz. If I can wrap up some work today, I will meet you guys at 9am at B&N tomorrow.

149 at 105 north... take it all the way to 90, turn right then left on 244 and that takes you to the end of 3090... Ride 3090 all the way to 6, puts you a couple exits before TWS (Texas World Speedway), good ride either there or back... or you could ride149 to the end, turn left at 90(T of 149) and that takes you all the way to 6 as well.

I'll likely ride up 3090 even though its a little out of the way, I need some therapy on the road.

I would be down to roll if you guys end up going the 3090 route. I was planning on riding that route on Sunday anyways. Going to TWS (Texas World Speedway) would be a bonus because I've never been there.
