Talking Triumph Rocket III - test ride

I got a chance to ride the Rocket III today, and I'm still grinning.
It is a beast of a bike. It actaually handles well. Not even "Handles well for a bike of that size". It simply handles well.
But the thing that is the attraction for that bike is the acceleration. The Rocket III quite simply moves. It makes power everywhere. I'm pretty sure it makes over 100 ft-lbs of torque sitting off on the side stand. It goes like stink. Opening the throttle is like being fired out of a gun. One second you are moving along at a nice sedate pace, next thing you know everything is a blur and you are wondering what happened. I went from 30 to 90 (in 3rd) before I even realized I had twisted the throttle. It is simply mind numbing. I have to go again.
I'm going to try and get the bike for a full day next week. I feel the need for a complete test including pictures.
So if you get a chance to ride one, do it.

I went easy on it since it was literally a 0 mile bike. And it's 2300ccs. Same displacement as my car. But much much faster.
