Noobalicious Meet-n-Greet 7/24

Where: Vito's Deckhouse on 45 South (Northbound) between Bay Area Blvd and Nasa Rd 1
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&safe=off&q=Vito's+deckhouse+webster&ie= UTF8&t=h&ll=29.532018,-95.133056&spn=0.001041,0.001663&z=19

When: 7:00pm Thursday, July 24th

Why:To encourage folks who’ve never been to a meet-n-greet, I’d like to propose a friendly contest. I’d like those of you who regularly attend meet-n-greets (we’ll call you sponsors) to find and bring MotoHoustonians who’ve never attended a meet-n-greet (who we’ll call guests). Naturally, there are a few…rules.

First, this is on the honor system. I may know a lot of things, but it’s beyond even my scope to be aware of members’ meet-n-greet habits.
Second, you can acquire your guests however you please, BUT the guest must be a member of MH with at least one post.
Third, the guest must own a bike; anything with two wheels and a motor qualifies. While this may seem a bit exclusionary, it keeps people from bringing twenty bored family members and friends. Lol

For each guest a sponsor brings, a flat ten points will be awarded. In addition, more points can be earned (to be tallied for a prize) for the following:

5 additional points if
  • guest shows his or her M endorsement
  • guest has the same make/model bike as sponsor
  • guest is a police officer or firefighter

10 additional points if
  • guest's bike has the same color scheme as sponsor's bike
  • guest has been an MH member for at least one calendar year
  • guest signed up on MH during July of 2008
  • guest has a “Mogee” bike (a 2006 orange tribal 600rr)

3 additional points if
  • sponsor or guest brings a pic of him or herself holding a kitteh
  • guest has a “gremlin bell” on bike (sponsors are free to gift one to their guest that night--tis a nice gesture!)
  • guest’s bike is completely stock
  • anything purple is on the guest or sponsor’s bike
  • guest’s bike has frame sliders
  • sponsor’s bike has a motohouston.com sticker

Prizes will be awarded to
  • The sponsor who brings the most guests (regardless of points)
  • The sponsor who earns the most points (any ties will be resolved by some Mala-invented tie-breaker. Consider yourself warned.)
  • The guest who earns his or her sponsor the most points

Random drawings for door prizes will be given for guests.

A few notes:
*Mala is but a poor English teacher. Prizes shall be humble; we all win for meeting new peeps and growing our circle of friends.

**Feel free to “advertise” for and solicit guests!

Sounds cool, good thought gone into this one But seems too much demands for the noob bike, no mods?? I know only one perfect noob that would qualify, and I myself am a noob so I cant bring him..haha

Hmmm, perhaps I should open a category for meet-n-greet noobs who bring meet-n-greet noobs! Feel free to present yourself as a sponsor if you'd like to bring someone else along. Or you could self-represent. I'll award you points.

I'm afraid the no-mods-stock points are simply a nod to folks who haven't had the time or know-how to make any changes yet. I rode my bike for months without changing anything until I was at a meet-n-greet one night and a coupla guys starting suggesting simple mods that I could manage.

Anyway, I hope you can make it! I'm sure someone clever will come along though and offer to "sponsor" you.

In that case, I grant thee official meet-n-greet noob status, and you're up for grabs.

As of that night, they have to have an account. Remember, extra points for members who signed up in July of '08 are available. Iffen ya wanna beat the streets and put out the Motohouston word...well, that's fair game. They just gotta have an account and one post.
