Hard to tell from the pics, but it doesn't look like clearance will be an issue.

Even if it does scrape, it probably won't be enough to upset the bike unless it's an extreme situation. Still can't really see it being an issue though- but again, that's just judging from the pics.

It is 1 1/4 inches outside the peg. I'll see if I can cut the midpipe a few inches and weld. That is all I need to do for sure.

1. 3 inches

2. yes, my heel rests in the top bracket if I am not careful. But when in riding position, my boots are fine. well..my flip flops are fine.

3. Sounds awesome.

I know
just sounds so much like one of my buddy's back here it's spooky,
with him the next few steps would be fraught with sweat, cuts, blood, tears, complications, unforseens and total dedication to getting it done
After that a huge smile of satisfaction
then in about 4 weeks he would turn up with a completely new exhaust system muttering, "I couldn't live with that sh't"

Not that your's is sh't mind
you know what I mean

Post up the pics dude

If you haven't figured out a bracket yet, use a piece of 1/4 x 1" flat aluminum bar. Easy to cut, bend and drill for bolts. I've got some here but will be gone for the next few days. Most of the Ace Hardware and Tractor supply store have it.

Don't panic, but these new pics kindof put things in to more perspective as far as clearance- I think it may be an issue...

Can you post a pic with a straight edge (like the flat bar you used to show the distance outside the peg?

Make the straight edge come from the edge of the tire and come across the peg feeler. If it is beyond that (keeping you from touching the peg feeler), you're going to have an issue...

Here's hoping for the best!
