Can I just cut a few inches of the midpipe and reweld that? That way it will be tucked under there a little more?

I may have done this to hastily.

I will say that DOES look pretty pimp, brother. I hope you get it all sorted out. It does look a little close to your footpeg. Do you have clearance for your foot? Are you afraid of melting your boot at all? Why are you concerned?

That pic is decieving. Makes the pipe look like its sticking way out and can easily drag, which I still think it can.

For safe measures I'd definately say get that thing as close to the bike as you can. I remember a CMRA racer telling me he was dragging swingarm spools on his 636 and he had to get smaller ones. I thought it was BS but who knows

Yeah but that looks like a show bike not a track bike. Really the farthest thing sticking out should be your pegs. You were dragging pegs last time, so for sure that is going to scrape. I would try to get that farther in and under. Buells have the exhause straight under the bike. You could go for something like that.

I've never scraped my pegs before street riding or track riding, but I have got my knee down (on the track only, not street)....pegs shouldn't be scraping really....dunno though.

As far as me on my M4, I shuved it into the midpipe...so its a slip-in instead of a slip-on.....i had to beat it into the pipe though and used clamps from o'reileys. (2 clamps for extra security).

As far as the little bracket thats made for 2006 bikes, I just left it on there and I haven't secured it to anything. My plan is to take it and get it cut off later on anyway, just too lazy to do it / get it done atm.
Does yours stick out AT ALL outside the peg?
