Thumbs up Thank you CBS

For showing the races. Hopefully you will be showing a complete season one day as well as the other road racing associations.

Post up your ideas and TY's.

I will email them the link later this week.

Watched it also. I was surprised I didn't have to catch it on the Speed channel.

I have cable.

Kevin Schwantz was good, giving the color commentary...The other announcer was getting sooooo excited about it. He kept me laughing... Was really good.
Thanks CBS..

greg white (the other announcer) is a tool. he sux during ama broadcasting too. it makes it even worse though when he's trying to dumb everything down for the new viewer.

but isnt that kinda what we need for it to grow over here?

making things alot easier to understand for people that arent savy to it might not be such a bad thing, as long as you had a good annoucer along side him....right?

sorry, should've been more specific, HE'S more annoying when he's trying to dumb things down. like when pedrosa went down, and instead of explaining why he went down, like Schwantz was doing, he was talking about all the padding in the leathers like his audience were a bunch of 5 year olds. It also bugged me that he made mention of Hayden (who was all the way back in last place) several times as being the American in the field, completely ignoring Colin Edwards, who was running in 4th at the time. If MotoGP is going to continue to grow in the US, and on broadcast TV, they need to place more emphasis on the American riders in the field, so that the uninformed viewer has someone to root for, and in turn, a reason to watch!

I thought it was a good thing to talk about the armour and leathers ... new viewers don't know about stuff like that and maybe it might convince some squid to go get a leather jacket.

well, it was ok but, i thought the commentary from Greg White sucked monkey nuts. he was pronouncing half the racers names incorrectly, he was slow on calling the moves. I just watched the races from motogp site, better commentary. Greg white commentating is like one of us commentating. it would suck too.

you are right about this, they tried to do something different than the norm but, that isn't the race either. personally, i don't watch it to learn about there body armor, i watch it for the racing and competition, the excitement.

yes he was, but to get people interested they may want to know what he is talking about, but he should learn to pronounce the riders' names.

I suck.

I have all MotoGP races set to DVR on Speed channel, and figured it would automatically record the race on CBS.

Woke up late Sunday, did some housework and then plopped down on the couch to watch the recorded race (sans commercials) only to see that CBS had named it something like "Race espectacular di motocicletas" or some dumb and accordingly my DVR had no idea that that was motorcycle racing, so I had to make due with watching the 250s.
