German MotoGP *spoiler*

, I don't know if Dani was getting greedy or if he just felt like he need to get out as far as he could as fast as he could because he knew Stoner was going to be fast this day. His crash looked kindof "fluky" like he didn't screw up too bad, but with an 8 second gap in a rain race, there seemed to be little point in pushing that hard. I guess I'll see when they post up some post-race interviews. Another reason for Mini-Me to hate the rain I guess...

I seriously thought VerMOLEn was going to catch Rossi and possibly Stoner! He's always so good in the rain, that kid is smooooooth.

I was wondering why Rossi didn't push a bit harder to stay with/ catch Stoner as he started to widen the gap. Maybe he was just settling for second since he was going to be on top of the points with Dani out

Sucked to see NH out with "tire problems(?)" WTF? That pavement is abrasive enough to shred rains in a downpour? I know many of the riders were having tire issues when it was dry because of the abrasiveness of the new track surface, but man, with that much rain too?

REALLY sucked to see CEII toss the bike! Man I was hoping to see him stick with that lead group and do well today! I hope he's not hurt, he was holding his left wrist looked like.

I though Dovi was going to pick up and get past Vermuelen, but he's not as good as the Kiwi in that department I guess!

Looks like Alberto got his wish as Pedrosa tosses the bike and Stoner wins to get the points battle going back in full force!

Poor Danny
Gotta admire the way he got out of the blocks for a rider who has been pretty "ordinary" in the wet in the past.
This is turning into one of a championship so prey he's not badly hurt.

Dovi was top Michelin finisher I think

I don't like Stoner for some reason. No reason not to though. I'd rather see him win than that little fkn midget. . . sucks to hear his ankle may be broken. Woulda liked to see Nicky in there too.

Interesting race. I was really disappointed at first because of the rain, but then I thought about the saying "rain is the great equalizer". But compared to watching that track in the dry, it was a yawner.

Let's hope that the ratings from this race and the next might get CBS interested in doing this more often.

Does anyone know what compound Edwards was running on the rear?

Oh and Greg White is fvkin annoying......

Edwards was running medium front and soft rear if memory serves.

I watched on MotoGP dot com and didn't have to hear GW at all, and no commercials either! FTW

For a rain race i thought it was pretty decent. Felt bad for pedorosa too. He was really really fast but I bet the next rain race he is going to be gunshy.

Glad rossi is back on top. I don't know why but I just like that guy. He brings personality to the sport.

Pedrosa injury update.
Quote:
Dani Pedrosa has undergone a full medical examination to determine the exact nature of injuries sustained when he crashed out of a commanding seven-second lead in Sunday's wet German Grand Prix.

After a preliminary examination in the Clinica Mobile at the Sachsenring circuit Pedrosa - who lost the 2008 MotoGP World Championship lead as a result of his first DNF of the season - checked into Barcelona's USP Instituto Universitari Dexeus at 22:00 on Sunday night, where damage to his left hand and right ankle was checked in detail.

After completing all the necessary tests Dr. Xavier Mir, chief of the Surgery and Microsurgery-Unit, in cooperation with the USP Institut Universitari Dexeus, declared that:

"Dani Pedrosa presents a general inflammation of the left hand with hematomas in the sheathes of both extending tendons. The pilot shows a displaced fracture of the distal phalanx of the left pointing finger, which has been reduced.

"Further on, the patient presents a sprain of the proximal interphalaxical joint of the middle finger of the left hand which has been totally immobilized. Finally, he has undergone a fixation of a fracture of the big bone of the left wrist by an arthroscopic technique.

"It is confirmed that the patient has suffered a lateral external sprain of the right ankle."

The Repsol Honda rider will remain in hospital and an evaluation of his injuries over the next 32 hours will determine whether he can participate in this weekend's United States GP.

Pedrosa now sits second in the title chase, 16 points behind Valentino Rossi and four points ahead of reigning world champion and Sachsenring winner Casey Stoner, with eight rounds still to go.

The US GP is the last race before the MotoGP summer break.
fingers crossed for the little fella

Fun race to watch, the rain always make for a nailbiter of a race since anyone could be out with only the slightest mistake.

I hope the Americans make a better showing at Laguna. Colin has been looking good, but even last year Stoner made everyone else look silly at Laguna...

I am hoping Spies and Hacking have a good showing too. Should be interesting to see what Ben can do on a track he knows well against the GP boys. And would somebody please fix Nikki's bike!?!?! the guy just hasn't had any luck lately.

looking forward to the USGP. should be a very good one, especially if Pedrosa can't race, hahaha. Not sure why, but I don't really like Dani either. Hope CE and NH do a lot better than last race.

Groupy, was hopin to see Colin win that one. Hopefully he wins this weeks American GP. My dream sheet for this week would be Edwards1/Rossi2/Hayden3/Stoner4/ and whoever after that. Since the gp home is in spain I think the rules were set up to make a spanish gp star. For instance the 800's instead of 990's and now the fuel limitations everybody knows a tiny guy is gonna burn less gas. Bunch of queer sissies. On the 990's pedrosa and stonerhead wouldnt have had a chance.
