Any good twisties around the south houston area?

I went out for a ride around brenham/CS a few sundays ago, and found some bad roads... Im wondering if there are any closer to me(clear lake) that anyone knows of?

From what I gather the closest thing to a twisty down south are the uturn lanes under the freeways.

I know you meant this as a joke but, be extra careful on the U-turns under freeways.
They groove the cement which means your tires have about 25% less pavement to grab.
Also that pavement never gets rained on so it is usually dusty.
Had a nasty fall on one about a year ago, it wasn't until I got up and limped off the street that I realized it was grooved. While your moving you can't really see the grooves.

Oh, and to answer your question...

No, there are no good roads. This is a coastal flatland. It is mostly mosquitoes, straight roads and humidity. If you take away those things you would be nowhere.

crab road is pretty fun, but you gotta be haulin to make it fun....and thats really the only twisty road around here. I go out there once / twice a week. (usually during the week, less popos)

I'm not sure what city it is considered to be in....most people know of the road on here though.

my favorite is the hughs road overpass...just south of 517 on 45. Its about a 2 on a scale of 0-10 though. That's very very sad.

actually, there are several twisty roads on all sides of Alvin and around Liverpool.

Get with me sometime and I will show you.

BUT, there is nothing as good as on the northwest side of Houston.
